In part one, we verify and prepare our organization for the installation of Exchange 2013. Documenting custom connectors that need to be re-created later, exporting the existing transport rules, creating reports for the size of the databases and individual user mailboxes are some of the important tasks that will be demonstrated here.

Even though Active Directory preparation is incorporated in Exchange setup, you should seriously consider extending the schema and preparing AD it in advance. As you will see, confirming that all Domain Controllers in the forest report the correct Schema version and “msExchProductId” is an additional test for early detection of AD configuration and replication problems.

Validating the Exchange 2013 installation, examining the event logs, and testing the Exchange services health and mail flow is an important part of the whole process.

[raw]In this Screencast , we demonstrate how to upgrade Exchange 2007 to Exchange 2013.[/raw]

How to Upgrade Exchange 2007 to Exchange 2013: Part1

How to Install Exchange 2013

How to Upgrade Exchange 2007 to Exchange 2013: Part2

How to Configure Outlook Anywhere in Exchange Server 2007

Tweet #Exchange2013 Follow @netometer

Stay tuned on <a title="NetoMeter -
